If you are currently on a monthly Reason+ subscription and want to take advantage of a promotion—like our Spring Sale (25% off)—or simply want the convenience of an annual plan, you can switch at any time directly from your account settings.
Switching to an annual plan is a prorated process, meaning any remaining value from your current monthly period is automatically credited toward the yearly price.
How to switch plans
- Log in to your Reason Studios account.
- Go to Subscription in the left-hand menu.
- Select the Plans & Payment tab.
- Locate the Change to Annual button and click it.
- If you have a coupon for a current promotion, click Do you have a coupon?, enter the coupon code and click the Change Plan button. If you don't have any coupon, just click the Change Plan button.
What happens after I upgrade?
- Prorated Billing: You will be charged the annual price minus the value of the remaining days in your current monthly cycle.
- Immediate Benefits: You immediately unlock full Reason Hub yearly benefits, including any exclusive extra plugins and your full allotment of sample credits. No additional redemption codes are required.
- Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation and invoice showing the prorated credit applied to your change.

I am currently on a 7-day trial. Can I still upgrade?
Yes! You can follow the same steps above to secure the discounted yearly rate. However, please note that the annual benefits and the actual charge will only begin once your 7-day trial period has ended.
Does this apply if I'm on a "Reason Rack" subscription?
Yes. If you are currently using the Reason Rack subscription and wish to move to a full Reason+ Annual plan, the process is exactly the same. Directing your upgrade through the Plans & Payment tab ensures your account is migrated correctly.
