As of July 1, 2024, Rent-to-Own is no longer supported as a purchase method for Rack Extensions in our shop.
The Rent-to-Own functionality was only used by a small fraction of shop customers. In addition, our payment provider has added pay-over-time alternatives in all major markets in recent years, improving the available options for users who prefer to pay in installments. With one technical solution less to support in-house, our developers are better placed to focus on what matters most: building the Reason product.
The changes only apply to new purchases, meaning that if you started Rent-to-Own purchases prior to July 1, 2024, which have not been fully completed, they will not be affected. You can still continue using and paying down your product at your own pace.
And it goes without saying, any Rack Extension licenses resulting from completed Rent-to-Own purchases are yours to keep.
