There can be several explanations to this problem:
- Is your browser set to accept cookies? Our login system uses cookies to keep track of logged in users. Please check that your browser accepts cookies. This is done in the preferences/options menu, usually under 'security'.
- Does your browser support 128-bit encryption? Several parts of the Reason Studios website will not work unless your browser supports 128-bit encryption.
- Are you behind a firewall? Usually, a Firewall is not a problem, but some firewalls (especially personal firewalls that you run on your own computer) can be set to strip away all cookies. If this is the case, then login won't work. Please contact your network administrator about this problem.
- Are you caching pages? Browsers can be set to store pages locally on your hard drive to speed up browsing. This is good in some cases, but it's no good at all with dynamic pages such as the Reason Studios Software web. Please check that your browser is set to check for new documents every time in the cache settings. The cache settings can usually be found in the 'advanced' section of the browser's preferences.
- Are you behind a proxy server? Some networks (such as AOL) use so called proxy servers to store pages from the net. This is meant to decrease network traffic, but it can cause problems with dynamic pages such as ours. We conform to all the standards on how to tell proxy servers not to store our pages. Unfortunately, some proxy servers just don't care about this. Please talk to your network administrator about this.
- Did you supply the correct username and password? If you see a red text snippet on the top of the login page saying that you have entered the wrong username/password, then you have probably not entered the right password. Please use the Password Help function to have your username and password mailed out to the email address you entered when you registered.
