Reason Compact is a completely separate product, which is not part of the Reason 10 Lite, Reason 10 Intro or Reason 10 "packages". The synth editing functions in Reason Compact can be unlocked, using the standard Apple in-app purchase function.

it says Unavailable or Demo... How can i Unlock it?
also: you can't find the app in the appstore, neither searching for propellerhead nor reason nor reason compact works. the only thing that's working is to go to the website on your mobile and click the app store link there.
Hi!
We released the app in App Store this morning but it seems as it takes Apple takes time to index our app and make the IAP available. We hope that they speed up and that our sound packs and synth will be available soon.
Kind regards Hanna (Mobile Product Manager, Propellerhead)
Thank you!
tthanks also why does the email say free but there are hidden charges?
i re read the email and it says free not beta test.
so i am concerned as i was told the europa synth is free...or am i getting the vst version confused with reasoncompact?
thanks for all you do and making apps and the best software on the planet...no universe....
Hi Tony,
The app (and Reason Lite) is free, unlocking the synth editor or getting new sound banks comes as in-app purchases.
How much does it cost to open the synth editor?
...and when you say “in-app purchases” it sounds like you mean plural. Am I going to have to unlock each section piecemeal... or can I just pay once to unlock the whole synth..??
Hi, great promising app. But how can I download and license Reason Lite?
hello, so i want to purchase reason compact (full features) but it is still locked and says unavailable. I'm in the USA and i am hoping to also obtain the copy of reason lite. Due to Apple taking a long time to sort this out, will i still be able to get the copy of reason lite? I really hope to have this app available tomorrow :)
Don’t get me wrong I Love reason and have been using it since version 2.5 and I currently own and use version 10(full) but this was very disappointing to me I saw the commercial and got so excited thinking I was going to have a mobile companion to my main rig at home( like all my friends that use fruity loops and garage/logic) but then I downloaded went in app and was expecting to be able to log in and have full unlock and be synced to my reason account but then I realized I had to pay more just to unlock full features of a mobile version of a synth I already own?! I just don’t get why this wouldn’t be a free “cherry on top” for us users who have already paid $400 for full version of reason10, I mean I get wanting new customers who aren’t reason users to buy it but why force a couple more dollars out of us faithful users who already have bought and used your software for years and have been waiting for this to even exist like other daws? Like I said I’m a faithful reason user and love it and I’ll spend money any day on a new RE I want but I just can’t help but be disappointed by this and can’t bring myself to spend money unlocking a mobile version of something I already spent $400 on for the real one I just think you guys should have it so if your a “reason 10 full version” owner you should be able to log in and have full access with the registered account imo.
I agree with Richard Gardner,... or at very least half the asking App Store In-App price for a fully reg'd R10 license. There will be tonnes of users using the app with Lite version regardless.
My guess is that this will be the continuing trend for R.Compact. That each R.Compact mini extension will be an additional in-app cost on top of what we have now. I DO understand needing to pay for dev and improvements, however there could be some little break full Reason license holders. Others using Lite or other mobile DAWS will not have invested as much into the Reason environment as much as the others of us with full licenses and multiple Rack Extension purchases on top of that. With all due respect, please take this into strong consideration Propellerheads. Thank You!
After some months of using it, I don’t regret paying to use the synth editor. It’s got limited uses, but as a sketch-pad for synth riffs that I can email to myself and open directly in Reason, I find it’s worth the money. I’m not really interested in banks of presets because I know how to synth. I would just say that I’d be annoyed if any additional festures were locked behind a subsequent pay-wall.
Overall, for an on-the-go synth I can use on my phone, I think it’s been worthwhile.
THANK YOU bringing Compact's Europa Synth down half-price. Bought it immediately. I'm a synth guy and I program a lot of my own patches. I can get a nice start on a new patch with Europa Compact. Looking forward to futher developments. Thanks again
I love the idea of sketching ideas on the go and then open in Reason Desktop but not being able to save back and re-work in mobile devices is a let down.
Also, I already paid 3 x $13.99 to get the instrument packages to find out that I also have to buy sound packages at $2.00 a piece. It's starting to cost a lot for a basic sketching app that it is so far. Surely hope the team intends to bring it further in terms of song building and compatibility.
JF Simard, i agree. if the RE platform is able to get ported to these mobile mini's then it will quickly get expensive.
i feel like desktop owners should absolutely get to port their RE for dirt cheap if the RE market gets the ability to go to mobile. i would assume that europa and all the compact devices being on both, says to me that they will probably make that happen. that would allow switching of RE to mobile and vice versa.
but if each device is always 10 dollars. then just to use expanse predator and my other favorites, it will start to get close to the price of the actual desktop model haha. this is a little much in my opinion. however i know the props are smart and will more than likely find a way to give discounts in some way shape or form.
one idea i sent them was to see if they could make a bundle for getting both devices, or if they decide to make more then a bundle of everything at a discount price. i truly hope they find a way to let users decide which Re's can go on mobile. id like a nice drag and drop sort of concept, drag to a mobile folder and the RE gets ported to their mobile rig.
my main fear is having to pay for the same thing twice, iv purchased all of the big name synths and effects. if i have to go for a round two that will hurt the bank XD
so far I'm loving compact, its taking up my free time at work. i hate my job so thanks props for giving me something to look forward to throughout the day haha
Andrei Lemieux, too bad about your job!!! Good that you can make some music. Artists, musicians always pay the price for their talent-passion to create culture. I spent lots of $$$ on soft gear, be it for Home studio or the mobile one. Having some sweet deals is always appreciated. I hope PH intend to develop their Compact app to be able to to be a companion to the Desktop in the direction of what Cubasis is to Cubase although Cubasis is now a full fledged mobile DAW while RC seems more to be the sketching brother. In any case, I like the app, looking for more freedom in song building - 8 bars is a bit limiting at the moment.
Hi, Propellerhead staff and well done for your work. İ think it would be nice to demand 1 licence fee/payment for all Reason Compact Instruments.
